Hi everyone! This is my second year at Akins, and I am thrilled to be back with the Eagle community. I grew up in Austin and received a double major from The University of Texas at Austin in Government and Sociology. From there, I moved to Houston where I earned my JD (law degree) from the University of Houston Law Center. During those three years, I spent time mentoring middle school students, teaching law to high school students, and tutoring fellow law students on the principles of American law. I loved these experiences and decided that I would pursue a career that would allow me to combine my law degree with my passion for teaching. And now I'm here, as a lawyer teaching law to high school students! When I'm not at school, you can find me playing basketball and soccer or working at my law firm. I am a member of the Austin Young Lawyers Association, and the Austin Bar Association where I serve on the Pro Bono Committee and the Legal Education Committee.
