Beaumont, Amanda » Home


Amanda Beaumont is a Special Education Teacher supporting the Social Studies Department. She teaches World History, Government, and Economics,  Previously, Ms. Beaumont was the Lead Teacher of the Social Behavior Skills program, which teaches mastery of self-regulation to promote student independence in order to be productive members of society. 
This is Ms. Beaumont's 11th year teaching. She is passionate about social justice, restorative practices, and connecting instruction with social emotional learning. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Towson University, where she majored in Social Science and minored in East Asian Studies. Ms. Beaumont is also the Co-Chair for Akins' Campus Advisory Council.
Ms.Beaumont is a 9th generation native of Baltimore who moved to Austin in 2008. She is the mother of 4 boys and enjoys traveling with her family during the summers. She has visited 47 states and 17 countries. When she isn't teaching or spending time with her family, Ms.Beaumont likes to watch baseball, make photographs, and read.
