Welcome to Akins Volleyball.  This website will give you information needed for the 2019 Volleyball Season.  Tryouts begin August 1st.  You MUST have a physical on file on or before August 1st.  It must be dated after April 15th.  It is important to stay in shape over the summer.  Please read the information below and see the attached schedules for summer workouts. If you do not find what you are looking for please feel free to contact Coach Thomas with any questions.  We look forward to another great season! 
You MUST complete the online forms ASAP.  You must ALSO have a physical before you can tryout.  Tuesday, July 30th we will be collecting all physicals from 11am-12:30pm.  Please bring these if able.

Fair Share & Lunch Information
Fair Share
The Akins Volleyball Program requires that all athletes who are on the team or in the class to pay a “Fair Share.” The
Fair Share concept was designed to help with the athletes cost of required uniforms and in lieu of fundraising. The cost of the
Fair Share is $150 and may be set up on a three-cycle payment plan at $50/month. The deadlines for these payments
are listed below. The money collected from Fair Share will help with required uniforms, required equipment,
and tournament meals. The other part of the fair share is a required portion in lieu of fundraising. There are other
expenses that will be required that are listed below. Fair Share is a NON-REFUNDABLE FEE (even if your child quits the
Varsity will be required to purchase shoes, cover up shorts and both "Tyler's" shirts on top of Fair Share. 

Fair Share will include:
1) Nike Gameday Dri Fit $35 value
2) Nike or Mizuno Spandex $25 value
3) 1 Practice T- Shirt $10 Value (there will be 3 more required t-shirts for purchase for $8, $10 & $12).
4) 1 lunch for game vs. Crockett $6.00 value
5) 2 Tournament Meals (Bowie Tournament Thursday and Saturday Meal)
6) Purchase of a drink for every away game meal.  (Athletes pays for meals at beginning of season and volleyball pays for the drink. Each meal is $6 and a drink is $2.29)
7) The remaining money will be in lieu of fundraising.
If you would like your child to receive a lunch on away game days you must pay a $60 fee by August 23rd. Each lunch is $6 and there are 10 away games.  The volleyball program will purchase each athletes drink for each meal.
