2012-2013 CAC Information

The CAC is made up of parents and staff members who assist and advise the principal in the development, review and revision of the Campus Improvement Plan (CIP); making decisions pertaining to curriculum and school organization; and other topics as brought forward that pertain to the school as a whole.

Meetings are typically held on the first Wednesday of ach month and are open to the public. At each meeting, public comments are allowed with a 3-minute maximum per person speaking. Meetings are held in the Eagles Nest from 6:00pm to 7:45 p.m.  (See CAC Representatives List below)

District CAC Website

The Akins CAC has 12 parent positions, with 6 positions open for new members each year. Positions are for a 2-year term. Meetings are run by a parent and teacher co-chair, who are elected each May.

To apply for membership, complete the CAC_Membership_Application and return it the Akins CAC. Applications can be dropped off at the main office or can be mailed to the school.
