As you know, the expectation at Akins is that you are conferencing with your advisees weekly regarding their successes and struggles in their classes.
While you’re conferencing one-on-one, the rest of your advisees want something meaningful to do. Puzzles and brain-teasers are good activities, and there are lots of both in the Advisory curriculum folder on the S drive.
However, conferencing time also provides opportunities for reflection. To that end, the following documents encourage our advisees to advocate for themselves while reflecting on their successes and making plans to achieve goals.
