About me:

My name is "Señor" Verdi  (or Mr. Verdi) I am a graduate mayor in economics from the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana campus Xochimilco (UAM-X) Mexico City, Mexico. I have a MA in Spanish Literature from Texas State University, San Marcos, TX. I have been teaching for about 9 years now and I'm happy to join the AKINS family as one of the amazing LOTE teachers.

Teaching Philosophy:

My teaching philosophy as a language teacher is totally student-centered. I believe that the learning process happens in every student’s brain in a different way; having considered this, in my practice, it is convenient to foster an active and project-based learning through a communicative and social approach. The students learn by doing and I think that the combination of these ideas provides the language teachers with the best tools and environment to help students exploit their potentialities while at the same time they learn a foreign language.
