I am native to the great state of Texas. I was born and grew up in the Rio Grande Valley. I attended The University of Texas at Austin and received a degree in History with a minor in Education. I received my Masters in Education from the University of Texas at Austin in Social Studies Curriculum and Instruction.
I have taught grades 6 - 12. I have taught the following courses: AP US Government, AP Comparative Government, AP Human Geography, PreAP World Geography, Debate, US History, World History, and World Geography.
I believe in a problem-based learning environment where students learn about, discuss, and try to solve some of the local and global problems today. I love international soccer, to cook and bake, and enjoy exploring new urban areas.
Tutorials: Mornings from 8:30 - 9:00 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Afternoons from 4:40 - 5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am also available via appointment.
